let's ramble pointlessly about prejudice.
Jul. 27th, 2007 08:16 pmDisability, Race, Age, Sex, Class, Intellectual Elitism, Poverty, & Cultural Difference are the most prevalent kinds of prejudicial factors operating in the here-and-now that I live in. There are also the more subtle kinds of prejudice against perceived unattractiveness, whether due to weight, facial irregularity, popular cultural standards, or race/color norms.
Where your prejudices lie speak to the kind of things you can see. I have friends of most types, but not all. I don't get along with people who have prejudices that I can spot, because eventually I have to point that out (It's not optional). I don't like people who are stupid, whether it is by natural deficiency or inclination to thoughtlessness. I consider all my friends to be pretty people, but Douglas says that I may have an unrealistic approach to beauty.
Have you ever spotted me having a double standard? Where are my blind spots, people?

You don't really like people who are overly-pushy, nor those who think overmuch of themselves. But you'll also sometimes present yourself as "everything-ier-than-thou." NOT the rule, by any means, but it slips out sometimes like some freaky mutation in a B-grade sci/fi film.
