If anyone is interested in making their own pair of the socks: Brioche Topped Thigh High Socks by Lavanya Patricella on Ravelry. The pattern is well written except for not specifying that you repeat the final row on the heel twice. Still, it’s a pretty minor adjustment. The yarn is tiny but makes a very smooth fabric. I hope the recipient gets years of good wear out of these.

And now I return to my regularly scheduled cramps 🤬🤬🤬.

That is Sage being Cat For Tax, yes.

These socks are slouchier than I was expecting them to be, but hopefully the shrinking them down with the first wash will help.

I’m not a sock knitter, either! I just got a request. This pattern is a lot of stockinette in the round for one pair of socks, but the result is attractive. I may knit some dk-weight winter socks but I think those may be the only kind of socks I make from here on out.

Thanks! Yeah, frogging back that many rows and winding the yarn as I went to keep it from being one massive tangle was a chore. Today I need to send some stuff in the mail, including those socks.
