Grief and grieving resources
Jan. 9th, 2024 06:48 am[edit: I started these after my cousin’s funeral, before Batrick died. It’s the unfunny kind of irony, huh?]
• Good Mourning, a podcast with a lot of grief related content.
• Therapy For Black Girls - here’s a written primer, a podcast about grief on Apple, & an episode guide for that podcast with links. If you need to find other platforms for Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, I can do that.
• Playing TETRIS can help to prevent intrusive memories after traumatic events.
and some neurodivergence-specific stuff:
• Loss, Grief, and Autism: A Discussion with Lisa Morgan and Ken Doka
• Surviving Survivor’s Guilt - less broadly applicable, but still good for feeling less alone
• ADHD and Grief via The Mini ADHD Coach. Since emotional dysregulation plays such a large part in the lives of ADHDers, they handle emotional extremes very differently.
