Medical stuff behind the cut; not long but not fun.

First I got that weird non-allergic rash on my chest that itched and hurt but eventually went away on its own. It was annoying but whatever. Then I started experiencing weight gain and then weight loss without changing my diet or exercise much, which usually means that I'm about to get a new diagnosis. Fun. Also, I started losing hair on my legs, then my head, then my arms. Even more fun.

So when I finally got in to the rheumatologist, we did a bunch of blood tests because of the unknown nature of what all is going on. Which reminds me that I need to get my clinical notes and test results from all my previous doctors, if that's still possible.

The new rheumatologist thinks that my version of Sjogren's syndrome might be becoming progressive, but he needs to rule out stuff like scleroderma for the skin stuff and lupus for that and everything else. If he is correct, I might need to have some panic? That is a thing that I might have to do. Because I refreshed my memory on the symptoms of what happens when the Sjogren's starts getting involved with your organs, and like. Y'all. No. Do not want. I like my liver, lungs, and kidneys in good working condition. I like being able to smell things, damn it. So I am not borrowing trouble, and choosing not to think about this right now since it may not be happening, but there is panic that may need to happen in the future.

But for now I am back on the hydroxycholoquine for the arthritis stuff and to slow the progression of any autoimmune stuff I do have going on.

I hope you get health answers that are fixable. Ugh, weird rashes. That was the latest weird awful shit that happened to me.

Thanks. I am doing well at the sailing my attention over the troubled waters of my feelings, but next Wednesday my test results are due back, and I am not enthused about finding out, as a part of me would like to stick my fingers in my ears and sing the 🎼la la la la la I Can’t Hear You 🎶 song. Which is annoying as I am not generally this avoidant.
