Gratitude post January 7th

flamingswordI am grateful for TED talks, for today not being as gaspy-about-to-panic-y as yesterday, for things that smell like goodness, and food, and safety.
I am grateful that my car's electrical system and sensors are now fixed, and in a hundred miles of driving I can get it inspected. I am grateful for the music of Alanis Morisette. I am grateful this scarf is almost done, and will soon be sent to my father-in-law.
I am grateful for knitting, for having a soothing thing to do that makes stuff, so that at the end of a period of rough time I can look back and a scarf came out of it, something tangibly good.
