Four things make a post
Sep. 23rd, 2025 09:39 am• autumn knitting for Yule presents is on schedule. One hat already completed, one in the works, and a scarf for Portland!Sage
• I know too many people named Sage. I now have three people and a cat of my acquaintance named Sage, which is more than the Christian messiah figure had, therefore I am officially cooler than Jesus.
• school keeps pissing me off, but this is, sadly, probably the best pathology book that they could get to teach from. Even though it is judgmental and pathologizing which is the opposite attitude to what we are supposed to have as massage therapists. 🤷🤦
• my uncle who was in the hospital in Alabama for an advanced UTI with confusion and memory lapses is now in an assisted living center here in North Carolina. He is not getting less confused or more oriented at the rate we were hoping for, but we’re giving him another couple of weeks to get oriented before we make any new decisions about maybe increasing his level of care to anything more restrictive/intrusive, like memory care. But that does now have to be on the table.
+1: • I am officially too far away from the friends who give good hugs. Mom’s family give hugs of ~3 seconds, and it’s just not enough. My irl friends have spoiled me for this perfunctory hug bullshit.
