Cheesecake for breakfast is a very satisfying way to remind yourself that you're an adult. Most of the ways that you live up to your station in life are things like paying bills and driving to work and holding your tongue around your boss. Those suck. But small acts of responsible idiocy are what make being a grown-up worthwhile. I'm not sure anything is so wonderful that it can make up for junior high, but having lived through that mess makes this morning so sweet by contrast. We have a lot to accomplish today, but no particular timeframe or structure. No pressure. It's a lovely thing.
