Mar. 17th, 2005 03:39 amIn this last week I have:
donated blood for the first time
driven to Austin to see an old friends' independent film
took
terriblelynne on a date to said film *snugglemonster warning*
told embarrassing secrets about the movie's makers
slept in Juniper's bed for three hours
drove back to Dallas from Austin at 6:30 in the bloomin' morning to do
a massage at 10:00 in the morning
went to circle with alpha-bitch level PMS and no energy
went to (unpaid) work to make Excel spreadsheets for the owner of the spa
typed up and formatted a price list to give to customers (unpaid)
came up with a mission statement for a business that is not even mine (!!!!!)
explained how to advertise to men to the business owner (unpaid)
explained how to USE a spreadsheet to keep track of income to the owner (you guessed it)
came to the conclusion that I would really like to work for someone as smart as I am
went home and to bed to sleep the sleep of the just.
In other news I'm about to lay down the law with my boss about several things, including being paid a wage for all the other stuff I do up there. From an intellectual standpoint I'm running that business. I was taken in by the fact that the premises were nice and the owner saying he had run a business in California. But his story has subtly changed in the telling every time since then. If I find a better place to work, he's fired.

Date: 2005-03-17 06:48 pm (UTC)Sorry to hear about all of the extra drama & etc. going on with work. It's one thing to go that extra mile for your boss and your company, but that has to have a limit (sayeth the master of the 72-hour workday ^-^).
Invader Tim?
