I am eating cookies and Googling all the people whose names I remember from high school. Mint--double-stuffed Oreos and the world's most powerful search engine? Go together like bling and R&B.
I'm noticing that people I had lunch, English, and math classes with I tend to remember better than any other classes. I remember only bits of things like PE and any science class I didn't also have friends in. I don't even LIKE a lot of the people I remember.
A friend and I are hypothesizing about how this is probably from the emotional scale of the memories, and not the brain's total engagement during learning. I remember most of the things I learned in high school, but only retain the memory of things learned in class in a context of personal involvement. People who didn't either gratify or irritate me are lost to trace decay. Poor bastards. :)
Fun with mnemonics will resume after this short break while I run to the store to buy
xenoix_13 more gauze for his mouth. Dental surgery is the ick.
