This is a list of questions that I should ask my husband this week, and some for every week.
?s for Ghost and I
This week:
• What are your #RelationshipGoals?
• What are your boundaries, and what will you do if they are stepped on?
• What do you envision wanting our marriage to be like?
• What do you want, how often do you want it, in what context do you want it to happen (in case we need to negotiate about how to get our needs met)?
Every Week:
• What media have you consumed this week that made you feel hopeful or connected to humanity and the future?
• What media do you want to watch/listen to with me this week?
• What needs of yours have not been met lately? Are you getting enough alone time, enough social time?
• What are your plans for this coming week and have your plans for the future changed during the past week?
• How far have you gotten in the Unmasking Autism book, and what are your thoughts about it?
And then my part of the answers that I already have:
The Vision : advanced happiness skills
• repair
• affection
• attention
The Boundaries
• If you ignore me, I will need to leave.
• If you do not work to find happiness when you are with me, I will need to leave.
• If you fail to communicate I will keep trying, and if you ask me to stop trying I will have to leave.
My needs:
I need to be able to largely support myself - even if that means I’m sleeping on people’s couches for a while. To this end I will be taking on more hours at work until school years start, and possibly after.
I need for us to talk and be friends. Even if we are going to downgrade our relationship from spouses to friends, I still need us to have a relationship in order to feel comfortable living together.
