I am trying out a thing when writing the morning pages where I go around the feelings wheel and note all the feelings that I have, and what I am having them about, and then see if I am telling myself a story about those feelings that may not be true. This along with the brain dump of random thoughts is getting me a lot of perspective and I think I should keep doing it, even if processing emotions is exhausting because I am out of practice.

In my experience learning or relearning how to name the feelings is so important.

I recently emerged from a long period of time where I was repressing a lot of negative feelings and it has taken awhile to relearn how to feel them and know them.
