flamingswordI'm online even though it's Thursday because I'm a bit sickish. Not too bad, but being responsible requires not exposing clients to little ole' contagious me.
It also requires cleaning house and getting studying done while just wanting to lay in bed and read. I'm sticking to the non-fiction plan, though, much as I jones for it. Instead I'm studying how to buy homes and doing financial research. I'd like a house, but I want to be able to put money down so the interest rate isn't insane, and that might mean another year of renting, and I don't know what's worth it and what's not. We're going to talk it over tonight.
Donated clothes and toys to charity - check. Donated $50 to www.mercycorps.org - check. Disseminated what information I had to wherever I could think of that would do good - check.
Can't think of anything else I can do for now, so I'm just going to put it on the back burner for a while. I'll probably move it to a front burner around election time.
But now I'm thinking in terms of what other things I have that can be donated. When I'm more mature and actually look as old as I am now, I should volunteer to speak in Junior High Schools and see if common sense is donatable. Or just get Mom to do it now. She's Jane Demographic, and people just sort of believe her because they sense that no one that worn and practical-looking would have any motivation to lie. She already does free puppet shows with a group called Calliope's Closet at childrens hospitals, and right now she's involved with the Moose Lodge, but next year she'll get bored and look to do some other kind of good. Hmmm.
I'd like to get involved in something that makes people be okay with their own differences and the differences of others (prefferably without needing to smoke them all out) and thus promote social harmony. I'd also like for this something to have both local and widespread impact. Like Pilates for society.
In other news, I'm going to go to sleep again.
