This is a character study of Sam Wilson, and how he winds up in a relationship with Dr. Jane Foster. I did not ship them until this story, and now I kind of wonder what she sees in Thor. It tilted the table of my expectations for both characters, and is extremely well-written.

Away Childish Things by lettered
If you are looking for comfort and indulgences, a long fic with both plot and rich characterization, here it is. It is Harry/Draco, where Harry gets de-aged because if a potion and Draco has to care for him. It's like a mug of hot cocoa with marshmallows.

Trigger warning for All The Things; this is a slave AU with deep exploration of the ideas of consent, personhood, and PTSD. It has amazing excerpts from poems as its chapter titles. I want to go back and read them all when I am done, but I am still reading this. It is not a comforting fic in a lot of ways, but if you are looking for depth and understanding of complex and thorny issues, I 100% recommend this fic.
