So, I feel very adult and modern eating cheese and grapes (from Chile - Uvas NO!) having just purchased my first cell phone. And in honor of this feeling I would like to do something ancient and puerile. I had the obligatory housewarming anime fest and it was great fun, but I want to rattle the bars of this birdcage a little.
Let's have a symposium.
How about as soon as the weather turns clement you and I and all good people go to the park of a Saturday and lay on the grass and feed each other grapes and talk of weighty matters. Philosophy, politics, religion, economics - these subjects are too trivial and have been talked to death besides. Talk to me of space exploration, human cultural development, the worth of life, the newest science and art. Coffee isn't for laying on grass in the sunshine, so we'll have to have something else to drink. What would you like? And which park should host this particular band of allies?
RSVP.

Sorry I wasn't able to make it to the housewarming, but I really did want to go. I'm so glad you and Doug finally found a place of your own!!! Yay!!!

I think sunny grass-flattening calls for mimosas. Yep! River Legacy Park is nice...how about that one?

I've never had a mimosa, nor been to River Legacy Park. But I'm in favor of trying new things. It'll be a few weeks yet 'till we can lay on grass without squelching, though.

A mimosa is champagne and orange juice...very yummy!

Squelchity goodness in the grass...yeah we're supposed to get more rain this weekend. :-P

You'll just have to have a symposium of your own. They can be indoor events as well, O Thou Clotheshorse of Darksome Doom. So avoiding grass stains is not a good enough excuse not to have people and talk and grapes and fun. The Romans would even bring expensive call-girls to symposia, and you know how much fun it would be to pay a prostitute to lasciviously feed you peeled grapes in public?
Hell, I'd pay to see it.

But seeing you would be so much of the appeal...*pout*
