books? made of paper?

I'm trying out the new beta test "create entries" page, so let's hope that this goes well.

I'm trying to read less fanfic this week, and trying to get back into some books instead? :fingers-crossed:

My friend Ruby loaned me Summer In Orcus, and the Death Gate Cycle books, which I have not started. I need to finish PolySecure and Query which I'm almost done with, and then Blood-Stained Tea and The Atlas of the Heart which I am not almost done with. I want to read Cascade, Romancing The Gatekeeper: love poems about death, and to buy and read Braiding Sweetgrass which I have now been recommended by two different people.

But y'all. I am so bad at books now. When I'm really tired, sometimes I will try to make the paper scroll upwards instead of turning the pages. It's really embarrassing. Maybe I should buy Braiding Sweetgrass as an audiobook and listen to it while I knit these socks. The rest of them I already have in dead tree format and should probably get through to see if I can train my brain back to the old format.

I’ve seen my sister use her fingers to try and enlarge actual physical photos in albums, which is one of the most hilarious things, considering she’s like, a Dean and has her own doctoral college within a university, so you are not alone!

I mean, I’m not a genius like my mom, but I am generally a fairly clever person? Which is why it’s so frakking embarrassing that I am being outwitted by paper!

Also, when you’re really into a story, you’re thinking about that and not about boring crap like, idk, how pages work…
