Okay, so today has been spent trying to keep up with commenting on the introductions post in the new 30+ LGBTQ+ community my friend Jon and I started. Whoever keeps recommending the new people to the community, uh ... thank you? If you could maybe get it to slow down tomorrow, that would be equally good. I am a little agog at how many people want to be part of this comm, especially in the early-adopter period.

I guess there really was an unspoken need for this kind of a community, that asks for folks to slow down and think things through and assume generous interpretations, especially among The DW Olds.

As a bystander in such things, it seemed obvious to me for a while that there was a need for such a community network in a more general way, on- and offline. I didn't know that there wasn't one already in place on Dreamwidth.

There are LGBT discussion spaces on DW but none of them specifically cater to LGBT people over 30, and there is a real need for that because Gen Z LGBT discourse has become extremely toxic and problematic.

None until you stepped up. Which - again, as a bystander with friendships in the larger community - I see as a good thing, well timed.
