Can I go live inside the movie Practical Magic? Not just the house for the set, no. The movie itself. With magic and sisterhood, and women being allowed to age disgracefully. Brownies for breakfast and midnight margaritas and spellbooks full of family history. I want it. I need it.
Brain foods for better moods. Ghost is about to go on a diet for his brain. Wish us luck!
Poet Anne Sexton being referenced by Peter Gabriel? It's more likely than you think.
A friend of mine showed me how to use post-it notes to plot a story out, using this method. It is kind of brilliant?
So Terry Crews is wrong about black liberation causing Black supremacy, but this article calling for Black seperatism is wrong about never centering anti-racism work on white people. White people are the ones with the problem. Black people are not oppressing themselves. Should all of Black liberation be about white people? No, but a non-zero percent of any liberation is teaching your allies how to ally. It's not fair, I get that. But a multiplicity of tactics is what works.
Also: you want a movement for people who will fight for you? White leftists exist, white police and prison abolitionists, white people trying to topple centuries of colonialism, forking over that cash you were talking about. We're not perfect, but maybe erasing us as a tactic to talk about your own erasure is not the way to go here? That seems like a weird plan.
