Do you ever just want to sit in a room full of talking people and listen to interesting conversations without participating? I want to hear other people be excited about stuff, but I don’t have spoons to share anything today, and it just makes me feel awkward. Like I don't deserve to be around people unless I'm being entertaining?

Maybe my mom is not the only teaching figure I should be holding to a standard for having taught me to internalize ableism.
