But if I could overwrite anyone in any fandom with any actor, living or dead? I would get the actress who played Lena Lamont in Singin’ In The Rain in all of her teeth-grinding terribly accented glory to play every character I don’t like in films that I think directors should know better than to cast white actresses in, like the US version of Ghost In The Shell, which would also helpfully make fewer people want to see that travesty of intellectual property justice.
[Edit to say: Or just, you know, put actual BIPOC actors in there. But Hollywood would never allow that. ]
