offensive, with links
Nov. 5th, 2006 09:00 amI'm easy to offend. You'll hear all about it whenever you talk to me, at any moment irritated with something. It may not be much, and I may be grousing rather than yelling slogans and holding up a picket-sign. Still. I no more expect people to suddenly start using their turn signals en masse than I expect the sun to shine less hurtfully into my precious eyes. And I think that's where my attitude differs from the norm. Other people seem to have the expectation that things will change because they want them to, because they complain loud enough. My constant kvetching is because I'm incapable of being quiet for long without something being wrong with me, and has nothing to do with my expectations of other people. They can go on being mediocre drivers and technologically subnormal in the self-checkout lanes when buying groceries. That's how they are, and if I really wanted it to be another way, I'd do something about it. Something other than be a snarky bitch.
So, here's some linkage for those of you who were interested. Told you I'd get around to it.
