b-day phases 2 & 3: complete
Jun. 7th, 2006 04:04 pmSo: saw The Omen last night, and was not aggravated by anything but the audience, who were asshats. My statistical universe for seeing movies on opening night had been made up of Star Wars and Harry Potter movies. The respectful geeks and freaks of my own crowd were not in the demographic for this movie, and I wish I had considered that before going. But, oh well. I went to a movie expecting gorey camp with a bit of good acting, and was suprised by the pacing and mood being perfect to offset the graphic death and nightmarish creepiness. Other people went in with much higher hopes and were let down, but that's sort of unrealistic for a remake. I will have to hit it again when it goes to the dollar theatre, though. It's just too pretty.
And today I went with
gonner221 to the DMA to see the Tiffany glass exhibit, and it was shimmer and line and color. I love art. Art is going to be my girlfriend, once I decide how to ask her out. Also, since we hang together so much, Gonner and I will be making T-shirts that say, "We're not together." Because he needs a girlfriend, and it isn't helping his chances for people to think we're together. Maybe we could market them . . .
