flamingsword1. Anyone who looks at this entry has to can post this meme and their current wallpaper at their LiveJournal.
2. Explain in five sentences why you're using that wallpaper:
1) The graphic doesn't interfere with identifying my desktop icons no matter how sleepy-stupid my brain is.
2) I saw AVP and somehow napped through the last quarter of the movie. This WALLPAPER is more intellectually stimulating than THAT ENTIRE MOVIE.
3) I found it on /b/. Bonus points for lameness and geekitude.
4) I love cracktastic juxtaposition, recontexting, and WTF. This has all of that.
5) It's Alien vs. Predator, the chess edition. The concept is cute, it's technically well done and visually appealing; what more do you need?

Date: 2009-06-15 09:32 am (UTC)1) It's a nice neutral colour that i find calming and doesn't distract from anything i'm doing.
2) It reminds me of a desk blotter or something.
3) every once in a while i create a desktop picture
4) even when i do have a picture, it's always this colour with the picture cut out and pasted ontop of it, usualy with some kinda blended or shaded shadow or something.
5) i'm paranoid about desktop pictures slowing down my computer and taking up memory.
my husband on the other hand changes his every week or so. it's either a lolcat or porn.
