According to the doctor: “The nasal culture demonstrated a large amount staph aureus which is a common skin colonizer. However this may be causing your sinus symptoms. Significant amount of fungus was not found on this test. However a sinus CT would be the best test evaluate this as we discussed. The Augmentin your prescribed well treat this bacteria. Please let me know if you were able to get the MRI scheduled as ordered by your neurologist.”
And as many nosebleeds as I get from the chronic dry … everything, really, that probably means I have a staph infection under my skin. 😵💫😖🤢
So yeah, I’m not pleased, bc even though we now have a likely culprit I still have to go stick my head in The Loud Tube.
