update on the friend's eviction

Okay, we may have found a way for my friend to stay til the end of next month, since it is technically illegal for the parents to kick them out without 30 days written notice in that state, even if they are not a rent-paying tenant, and possibly not for 120 days considering that there is a really strong argument to be made that they are being discriminated against by their family of origin for being disabled. (Yes, I have now read a bunch of Missouri's legal code regarding tenancy rights, why do you ask?)

But we are not relying on that alone, so now I just have to withdraw some retirement-fund money and get them to accept it if they need help packing up and moving, since they have asked me not to come up myself. ... We'll see, as to that. I am keeping that option open, just in case.
