I have basically everyone's presents picked out except Mom. I never freaking know what to buy her. I am thinking of just ordering her really expensive chocolate. Lead by example? Or maybe take her to Another Broken Egg cafe for brunch. Omg that was such amazing food.
If you are near Dallas and available for being a single-cat parent, a friend of mine needs to rehome a cat who has been situationally forced into being perpetually startled by his companion kitty. He can't see very well, so he keeps getting surprised and since he was a rescue, he does not take well to that. He then gets stressed, he is hissing and stressing out his companion, and the humans involved are worried about them both. Poor kitties. 😥
Ghost and I went to IKEA today to get me a desk and to get an ottoman to save my poor feet from the edge of the coffee table. Sensory hellscape that it is, I actually did not get overstimulated this time! I got a desk that should work, and we spent less than $300 on this venture. w00t!
This year at my place, instead of Yule, we will be celebrating Wolfenoot - the Spirit of the Wolf! I love made up holidays, and this one sounds adorable. There will be feasting and gifting. There will be cheese. I may have gone slightly overboard on the cheese, actually ... not that anyone is going to mind. ;)
I also had a pastry with Bat today, smelled the new smellgoods with them, and need to redistribute some smells to some distant folks. Then tonight I had dinner with Virgileso at Foo's, which was really good. Green curry is just the right amount of spicy for me.
