Policy change:

I'm talking about people I know IRL more, so I'm friends-locking some posts. My own privacy is not much of a concern, but I know some very private people. The simple solution is that if you are not already on LJ, you can get one for free and we'll friend each other so you can read them. Anything not dealing with other people's privacy is still public, and since I don't shut up much that's still a lot. If I have lurkers: fear not! You will still be hearing randomness from me at biweekly intervals.
