migrant raid and radical entertainment

Is it very wrong of me to be glad about the immigrant raid in Georgia? I do feel badly for the people being deported, but the scientist part of me says, "Ooh! Experimental data!" and plots to look at the effects on the local economy and how the workforce rift gets filled. And it's also good that this will to some extent shut up the economists that say that the illegal workforce numbers are overstated and can be shifted about without long-term economic damage. Or maybe they're right, and we're all just replaceable cogs in the machine and then there goes America's proud laissez-faire attitude. Still . . . *pets shiny data*

Also: I just bought Stargate: Atlantis season 1 on DVD. :) And House season 2 disc 1 just came in from Netflix. So I am all over the being entertained while I fight off the sore throat and assorted ills that accompany it. I'm not contagious, and not actually tha bad, but I have porn-star voice again.
