I am in Birmingham, AL on the longer trip to NC, and so far I have had at least two bars of data the whole way. I am impressed that we have even that much infrastructure out there along I-20, even halfway through Mississippi where there Ain’t Shit.

I always forget that there are real trees here in the south, they’re just all along rivers or in coastal areas.

the magnolia trees are blooming, and it’s nice, even though we’re going too fast to roll down the windows to smell them.

the Doctor Sweet Tooth “Strawberry Shortcake” solid perfume really does smell just like the real thing. Most excellent!

I ate at Waffle House and it was greasy and amazing.

We are safely at a hotel now right off the hallway.

Mom decided to light up a cigarette at one point without warning me, so I feel a little bit like I drowned again, but most of her cigarettes were had outside the car so thank fuck for that.

I'm glad y'all are safe, ughhhh cigarettes ewwwwww but I'm glad she didn't do most of that in the car.

I’ve tried a few of their sprays and a sample of their oil perfume, and the spray plain vanilla is meh, but their vanilla rose is amazing. Unfortunately the only oil perfume sample smells exactly like bubble gum … which it’s supposed to but I intensely dislike bubble gum. The Brown Sugar and Fig scent is also greatness.
