The wondrous Seperis has a post up for new and returning users, which I think will be helpful since it contained stuff I didn't know. There are also sections of the FAQ pages that I think folks could use, and a list of popular RSS feeds that you can put on your reading list along with your list of DW blogs you're subscribing to.
