flamingsword: “in my defense, I was left unsupervised” (Sunshower)

Do you ever just want to slounge around your house and eat ice cream until your teeth fall out and the collapse of civilization won't be enough to disrupt your carefree lazing and making user icons? Yeah, today is that day. I'm coloring and making icons and learning about the selection tools on Paint Shop. It's cool.
Everything's cool.
I can't call the friend of mine who needs instructions in how to make a budget, and I can't email him, so . . . oh well. He'll just have to call me. And I can't just rush off to anyone's house right now because gas is hideously expensive and I'll feel bad if I start being frivolous with money. I've learned a lot about homebuying in the last few days, and the location manager at work used to be a realtor, so I can pick his brains, too.
Under the surface I'm restless and prickly; on the surface my smile is easy and fake. And I'm good at it, but it feels very wrong to be not reading something at least once a day. Most of the stuff I'm doing I'm doing to keep from reading and it's FUCKIN HARD!!!! I'm a pro at lying to myself about not wanting things, but DUDE! This is like doing without oxygen!! You guys better cue up some fiction for me to read next Wednesday. No, that's the 21st. By the time I get there I'm gonna need it.

Mmm. Ice cream.

Good luck with the realty research! I hope your restless prickliness feels better soon, too.

If you go over to [livejournal.com profile] ingrid_m's lj and look in her Memories under fanfiction, there are a lot of really good, really old Smallville stories that I, for one, never read before. In case people don't post enough good current stuff by Wednesday LOL!

THANX! I'll need that. I'm not reading ANYTHING for a WHOLE week starting Wednesday, and it's going to be a bugger.
